Your assignment is to teach the class the roots and affixes in your assigned word group. Your students should be prepared to take a quiz on the group in the format of all the previous LF quizzes with three types of questions:
Define a part and state whether it is a root, prefix, or suffix
Break a word into into its constitutent parts and give a literal definition
PORT/ABLE "able to be carried"
Do an SSAT/ISEE style synonym question using rare and unusual words
You can teach the lesson however you wish. You have approximately thirty (30) minutes. You may assign homework.
